Art Exhibition and Lecture
From January 2018, ‘The Manchester Mosaic’ produced in 1992 by an ecumenical group of women around the issue of violence against women will be displayed in the Chapel at Luther King House. To launch this, linked with our Winter School on Theologies of the Body, we are hosting an Art Exhibition on February 12th, featuring the Mosaic, Margaret Argyle’s Bosnian ‘Christa’, and the Baptist Union Clothesline Project.
The evening will begin at 6.30m with light refreshments, and will also include a lecture entitled ‘View from the Mat: Theological reflection on gender-based violence in Uganda’ by Revd Sue Barclay, based on her recently-completed PhD research.
A pdf leaflet is available for you to download, print and distribute. This can be found here.
There is no charge for this event, and booking is not essential, but it would be helpful to have some idea of numbers, so please let us know if you hope to attend.
For further details, and to register your interest in attending, please contact Luther King House by e-mail or by telephone on 0161 249 2504.
