Certificate of Higher Education in Theology, Ministry and Mission

The Certificate Course offers a broad basis to help deepen your understanding of faith and its practical application in your context. Areas of study include the Bible, Mission, Worship, Pastoral Care, and Theology.

We offer:

  • A warm welcome to study in a supportive and diverse Christian Community, set in lovely grounds and easily accessible from Manchester City Centre.
  • Teaching and learning that is always attentive to God’s calling in YOUR life, church and community.
  • Flexible entry requirements – see our Entry Requirements guide
  • Flexible attendance; part-time and full-time study, mid-week and weekend options
  • Student loan funding available for those who qualify

This course aims to help students develop in many ways, including being:

  • open to the questions, insights and ongoing formation generated by attentive study of Scripture
  • passionate and prayerful advocates for the mission of God;
  • clearer about their vocation in the church and the world

It helps students:

  • Become more fully equipped for Christian life and service in the world
  • Become more informed about the Christian faith
  • Some students will be preparing for ministry and mission among children and young people
  • Or, for service in third sector and statutory organisations as well as in churches
