Learn Biblical Greek or Hebrew at LKH

Luther King House offers introductory biblical language courses in Ancient Hebrew and Ancient Greek, which are open to all. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary – just a willingness to learn!

Learning biblical Hebrew (Old Testament Hebrew) or biblical Greek (New Testament Greek) is also a great way to develop your knowledge and understanding of the Bible, and both courses include studying biblical passages.

Each of these courses are usually taught for 90 minutes each week, across 24 weeks, and each costs only £160 if taken on a not-for-credit basis.  You also get full membership of our library during the course.

These courses are modules taken from our modular BA in Contextual Theology undergraduate degree programme. It is possible to enrol on either or both of these language courses on a not-for-credit basis, whether for personal interest or professional development, or to study them alongside other modules on our degree course in order to obtain an academic qualification (BA degree, HE Diploma or HE Certificate in Contextual Theology).

Our degree courses are flexible and affordable, with part and full time study options, and SLC loans and grants are available for eligible students.

To enrol on our biblical language courses, complete and return our module registration form, or for more information about Greek and Hebrew studies, and other course on offer at Luther King House, see our Open Learning Programme or contact the LKH Registry Office.
