External library memberships are available for anyone who is not enrolled on a module or programme of study at LKH. If you want flexible access to a great collection of resources to help you with sermon preparation, ministry, study or research, or you simply want to keep up to date with current issues in the church or read for your own interest and spiritual development, then the library can help you! We offer:

  • A quiet place to study
  • Flexible memberships to suit your circumstances and budget
  • Fully qualified and knowledgeable staff to provide assistance Computing suite with internet, printing and wifi
  • Access to an online catalogue
  • A postal loan service for members who live outside of the Manchester area (charges apply)
  • External membership allows you to take out up to six books at a time for a period of three weeks.
    • Books can be renewed as many times as necessary as long as they are not reserved by another library member


Our rates are as follows:

  • 12 months:   £60
    • Concessions: £35
  • 6 months:     £30
    • Concessions: £17.50
  • 3 months:     £15
    • Concessions: £8.75

The concessionary rate applies if you are unwaged or in receipt of a state pension. Students from other colleges are required to pay the full rate
